Animal Anatomy Application for Characters in a Fantasy World
Learn how to apply animal anatomy effectively to characters in fantasy settings! Whether you're designing half-human hybrids or characters with animal ears, feet, tails, or other traits — this class reveals how to merge real-world animal anatomy with human characters. You'll conduct comparative analysis between animal and human anatomy to understand how to combine animal parts with a human base.

From comparing human and animal jawbone structures to studying the legs of lions, horses, and dogs, and even the feet of birds — this course covers it all. You’ll even learn how to draw imaginary creatures using realistic anatomical foundations. With Seok Jung-hyun’s expert instruction, you’ll build a solid understanding of animal anatomy and apply it to your fantasy characters.

Class Features

Applied Anatomy That You Can Directly Use for Your Own Characters
Have you studied anatomy but still feel like your drawings don’t make sense? This class goes beyond basic theory, offering practical and repeatable exercises that help you internalize anatomy and apply it intuitively to your own designs. You'll learn to draw the human body more naturally and confidently.

Posing Techniques for Greater Expression and Concept
Learn how to create expressive and symbolic poses that match your character’s personality. Explore the differences between gestures and poses, understand positive vs. negative poses, static vs. dynamic energy, and practice techniques like contrapposto for natural and balanced body positioning.

Animal Anatomy — From Observation to Creative Application
Stop randomly combining animal traits into your character designs. Instead, understand the function and form of real animal anatomy and apply it in a deliberate, creative way. You'll even learn how to combine traits from multiple species to design believable and imaginative fantasy creatures.
